About Jackson's Hubtet presents the Love and Jazz Road Tour

Jackson's Hubtet is a Jazz/Blues group of experienced musicians, led by Bill Laarz (brass, vocals, piano, bass and arranger). Bill started performing professionally with The Ringling Bros. Barnum Bailey Circus and Holiday on Ice, while still in high school, While in college he performed “live” and on television while at King's Island Amusement Park, near Cincinnati. After receiving his BSME (and later his M.M), Nashville became home, performing "live" with artists like The Temptations, Brenda Lee, Porter Wagoner, Irlene Mandrell and Danny Davis and The Nashville Brass (to name a few). Bill's horn was also heard in major recording studios including Owen Bradley's Barn. Recently retiring after 39 years as a music educator, Bill pursues the joy of performing with Jackson's Hubtet.

Anna Jones began her career singing in her dad's church choir.  While still in high school, she wrote and recorded all the songs for her Christian Album "Anna Laarz"(available on Spotify) and toured as an independent artist. While earning a BSME from Union University, she recorded for the Lifeway Corporation. Anna now runs a full-time business and actively teaches and performs. You will be amazed by her range, pitch, and vocal quality!

Frankie Congiardo, our drummer, also holds a master's degree in music (UT Martin, TN).  While being a master teacher for 45 years, having been inducted into the McNairy County Music Hall of Fame and the WTSBOA Band Director's Hall of Fame, Frank freelanced as a drummer in the Adamsville, TN area. Frankie is truly the “heartbeat” of Jackson’s Hubtet.

Our newest member, Doug Marcis, is equally at home playing Jazz to Country guitar! Doug holds a B.A. from Lambuth University where (along with Union University and Jackson State Community College) he served/serves on the faculty. Doug freelanced in Austin, TX and continues his music career in Jackson, TN.
