Bobby (Gary Cambre)
Gary began his career as a reporter at KPLC-TV 40 years ago. He then served as Director of Communications for Dow Chemical, Lockheed Martin and ExpressJet Airlines. He recently retired, and he and his wife Mollie moved to DeRidder. This is Gary’s debut with Impromptu Players, but he acted in numerous productions throughout high school, LSU and in Community Theatres in Baton Rouge, The Lake Charles Little Theatre and in numerous church dramas. He also had a small speaking role opposite Paul Newman in the 1990 movie “Blaze” that was filmed in the Baton Rouge area.
Daniel (Cash Day)
Cash Day is a 16 year old Junior at Leesville High School. He has participated in the Impromptu Theater drama camp since he was 11 years old. Cash is also very active in the LHS theater department, where he recently played Uncle Fester in the spring performance of The Addams Family Musical.
Michelle (Leah Myers)
A DeRidder native, Leah graduated from DHS and McNeese State University. She is the librarian and a teacher at DeRidder Junior High. She enjoys family, traveling and volunteering in community and church activities. Her premier with Impromptu Players was in 1995, and Impromptu Players welcomes her back to our stage.
Ashley (Abigail Clause)
Abigail is a junior at DeRidder High School. She has been active in theater and plays since she was four. For the past two years, Abigail has participated in the Impromptu Players summer camp program. In 2018, she performed in “Shrek: the Musical. Recently, she played Wilma “Willy” Wonka in the DHS production of Willy Wonka, Jr.
Lisa (Shirley Houin)
Shirley has been active in theater since 2013. She has been on stage at the SHAPE Performing Arts Centre in Belgium, Showboat Theater at Fort Polk as well as Wooten theater. She recently directed the audience participation play "You Have the Right to Remain Dead" here at the Wooten.
