Foolish Fishgirls and the Pearl Cast

Everyone calls her Gena. She is 58 and has lived in DeRidder for five years on a small farm. She has three talented and beautiful daughters as well as two grandchildren. She is proud of each and every one of them. She watched several plays performed in the Wooten Theatre before she decided to give it a try herself. She has now performed in six productions with Impromptu Players. She absolutely loves acting and entertaining. Her philosophy is, "If I made you laugh, then it's a job well done."

Bianca is originally from New York State, she has proudly called Louisiana home for over 20 years. She is married to her soulmate, Joey, and together they have an amazing son, Aiden, who keeps them busy and entertained with his sporting events and activities. When she's not cheering from the sidelines, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, crafting, and getting lost in a good book. While this is her first venture into theater, she is also thrilled to step outside her comfort zone and embrace this exciting new adventure. She looks forward to learning, growing, and making wonderful memories as she begins this new chapter.

Lovely Turner is an ambitious new talent based in Leesville, Louisiana and is proud to be making her theatrical debut with Impromptu Players in this production of Foolish fish girls and the pearl. You may have previously seen her somewhere in town singing karaoke or at one of her comedy shows. She would like to thank her family, friends and the Impromptu Players team for their continued support in this exciting new adventure.

Joey is a retired US Army veteran, youth coach, and is currently serving as Vice President of the Impromptu Players. He is passionate about mentoring young athletes, supporting fellow veterans, and strengthening his community. His experiences have given him a deep appreciation for perseverance, teamwork, marriage, and living with purpose. He is married to the beautiful Bianca and together they have a son, Aiden, whom he truly adores, calling him, "the better version of me."

I'm a high school senior, amateur actor and singer. I believe that passion is more important than talent. My previous experience includes one minor and two major roles in high school musicals, as well as a minor role in one Impromptu Players production. I am privileged to be cast in this role and to experience live productions at this level.

Marissa is 43 years old, born and raised in Michigan. She enjoyed theater throughout school; after which, she joined the military and theater took a back burner. in 2005 she was stationed at Ft. Polk and found the stage again at the Bayou Theatre. In 2009 she was relocated to Ft. Bliss but still found ways to have an audience. She was 'the voice' for military ceremonies and even had a brief cameo in a National Geographic documentary about Deployment Dogs. She is now retired from the military. This is her first acting engagement with Impromptu Players. When she is not on stage she enjoys travel with her husband, Eric, and stepdaughter, Addison, or hanging out with their two dogs, Roo and Kekoa.

Alejandro Pabón is a 23 year old indecisive amateur hobbyist. Originally from Georgia, Alejandro moved to Louisiana early in his teen years and has been complaining about the humidity ever since. Alejandro has been married for approx 1 week and when not sacrificing life and limb for his wife, he enjoys cracking open a good book and playing dungeons and dragons with his friends.

Meghan Daigle grew up in Mandeville, LA, where she spent most of her childhood participating in all kinds of performing arts—from dance to musical theatre, and even an opera! She met her partner, Brandon Cooley, at LSU in the early 2000s. After college, they lived in Lake Charles, then in 2013, they moved to DeRidder to be closer to his family. They now have two daughters together, Kiernan and Fiona. Meghan has been involved with the Impromptu Players since the summer of 2025, and Foolish Fishgirls and the Pearl is her fourth production with them. She has relished the opportunity to be back on the stage after more than twenty years, and has loved being a part of a theatre group bringing entertainment and fun to our community.
