About The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Based on the beloved Disney animated film, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a powerful and sweeping musical that brings Victor Hugo’s timeless story to the stage.

Set in 15th-century Paris, the musical follows Quasimodo, the kind-hearted bell ringer of Notre Dame Cathedral, who has spent his life hidden away by the strict and controlling Archdeacon Frollo. Longing to experience the world beyond the cathedral walls, Quasimodo seizes his chance during the vibrant Feast of Fools, where he meets Esmeralda, a courageous and compassionate young woman who stands up for those cast aside by society.

As Esmeralda’s fight for justice puts her in danger, Quasimodo, along with the dashing Captain Phoebus, is forced to confront fear, prejudice, and the abuse of power. Through soaring music and unforgettable moments, the story builds toward a moving exploration of love, belonging, and what it truly means to see others with empathy.

With its iconic songs, sweeping choral score, and themes of acceptance and courage, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is a stirring theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

Recommended for ages 10 and up, due to mature themes including prejudice, abuse of power, and moments of peril that may be intense for younger children.
