2018 Miss Franklin High School Beauty Pageant Cast

Gabe Hyatt (Alex Crumb)
Gabe is a junior and is in Theater 3. He has played Lt. Brannigan in Guys and Dolls and Pomeroy Smith in Too Good to say Goodbye. He wants to go to the North Carolina School of the Arts and pursue a career in acting. He enjoys 80’s music and movies and can (sort of) play the bass guitar.
Kylie Bates (Miss English)
Kylie has been in theatre for all 4 years of high school. She has been in 2 musicals, Footloose: The Musical, Guys and Dolls, directed by Robert Jessup. She was also in 4 straight plays, Actor Games, One Wife Too Many, Murder In The Knife room, Too Good To Say Goodbye, 3 directed by Robert Jessup, and 1 by Buddy Huckabee. Kylie is a senior this year. She plans to pursue her dreams in Nursing, after high school. She will be attending Southwestern Community College
Briana Van Tol (Miss Math)
Briana has been in theatre sine she was 6 years old. Her favorite roles that she’s done are Wendy Jo in Footloose, and Tessie in Annie Jr. Not only is she in Theatre, but she’s also in band and B-Naturals. After she graduates, she plans on going to SCC and getting a degree in Cosmetology
Brianna Norris (Miss Science)
Brianna has been involved in theater for five years. Her experience has included acting roles in the Drama Club, SMPAC, as well as her performances in Theater I and Theater II. She has competed and won several state and national pageant titles. She is looking forward to her performance in this show!
Jennifer Bleier (Miss Band)
Jennifer has now been in five productions. This includes Murder Most Fowl, Murder in The Knife Room, Guys and Dolls, Too Good to Say Goodbye and The Miss High School U.S.A Beauty Pageant. Jennifer has also taken fine arts classes such as Marching band, Concert and Symphonic band, and also Jazz band. She hopes to join the Culinary arts field after high school. She would like to thank her family for being so supportive.
Heather Tomberlin (Miss Student Goverment)
Heather has been in several plays such as Ulah in Camp Erie, Charlene in Too Good for Goodbye, and The Man Village Mom in The Jungle Book. She has a passion for music, acting, and writing. After high school, she wants to go to college and major in acting and creative writing. She wants to thank God for everything he’s helped her through and her family and friends for their support.
Laney Justice (Miss Drama)
Laney has been involved in theatre since she was ten years old. Since 2013, she has done multiple productions with Overlook Theatre Company. Her favorite roles have been a gorilla in Tarzan and the Brave Little Tailor in Shrek. She has also been doing tap, jazz, and improv classes at Betsy’s School of Dance since 2015. She would like to thank her parents, teachers, and friends for supporting her love of the theatre.
Nicholas Walker (Miss Physical Education)
Nicholas had been doing advanced theatre for 2 years now. Some of his favorite plays was Murder in the knife room and Too Good to Say Goodbye. Nicholas has also taken Stagecraft for one year and he enjoyed it very much. Nicholas is a Senior and will be going into the Air Force after High School. The thing Nicholas is going to miss the most is having a good laugh with his Theatre teacher, Jessup.
Makayla Burke (Miss Art)
Makayla has ben in three shows at Franklin High School. These shows include Offed at the Bake Off, Christmas Scenes, and Too Good to Say Goodbye. Makayla hopes to complete all theatre courses available at FHS and start being apart of the productions at Overlook. She would like to thank her friend Judit Trujillo for always being there for her and supporting what she does.
Jennifer Trammell (Miss Valedictorian)
Jennifer has been in four productions directed by Robert Jessup. Some of her roles include being an Extra in Murder in the Knife Room, A Mission Member in Guys and Dolls. and Charmane in To Good To Say Goodbye. Jennifer is a junior and likes to be involved with dance. After graduation she wants to attend a two year college to become a vet technician. She would like to thank her family for never giving up on her.
Georgia McGaha (Miss Foreign Language)
Georgia has been in three productions. The first two were directed by Buddy Huckabee, and the last two are directed by Robert Jessup. Her favorite role was “bad mom” in the bake-off while she was in her theater one class. Georgia has danced, cheered and, played many other sports throughout her life. She loves to inspire people and would like to thank the people who inspired her to be exactly who she is, her parents, Kathy and Greg McGaha
Mekenzie Cook (Flower)
Mekenzie has been in three productions by Robert Jessup. Mekenzie aspires to continue to do theatre next year. Mekenzie has always had a love for the performing arts and is even considering majoring in it when she graduates.
Maggie Baldwin (America)
Maggie has performed in shows for the Smoky Mountain Center of the Performing Arts with Scotty Corbin as her director. She is currently in Theatre III as a junior in high school and plans to attend Theatre IV as a senior. Maggie would like to thank her family for driving her to and from practices before she got her license and for supporting her in the performing arts in every way.
Jake Smith (Frankie)
Jake is a junior here at FHS. This is his first time performing in one of Jessup's productions. He is the acting president of FHS' French Club. a member of FBLA. His favorite musical is Chicago.
Jackson Campbell (Boyfriend)
Jackson is a senior. He is in theater four. He has been in six productions directed by Robert Jessup. After high school he plans on attending Southwestern community college.
Karyssa Young (Mom)
Karyssa has been doing theatre for three years. Some of her favorite roles have been one of the re-enactment characters in Murder In The Knife room, being a part of the mission band in the musical Guys And Dolls, and playing Eugenia in Too Good To Say Goodbye.
Sam Hoyle (Jennifer)
Sam has been in a choral class three out of four years of her high school career. However, this is her first semester doing a theater class. In the first production for this semester she played Millicent Monroe in Too Good to Say Goodbye. She wishes that she had joined theater earlier in her high school career now that she knows how much fun she has had in this class this semester. Sam would like to take this opportunity to thank her favorite teacher Robert Jessup, and her family for supporting her and always being her loudest fans in the crowd.
Kris Wilson (Clown)
Kris is a theatre 2 student has been in two play productions one Halloween production with Buddy Huckabee and “Too Good to Say Goodbye” , directed by Robert Jessup. After high school she plans to attend college and get a degree in veterinarian science so she can become a world renowned vet. Kris has also participated in the Stagecrafts class with Mr. Jessup. She would like to thank her Nana and best friend Issiah for being so supportive and being her biggest fans.
Judit Trujillo (Dawn)
Judit has been doing theater for 3 years she has been in production such as Murder in the Knife Room ,To Good to say Goodbye, and a musical production such as Guys and Dolls, she enjoys theater and hopes her 4th year will be unforgettable and unrepeatable.
Thomas Hollifield (Father)
Thomas has been a dancer in Guys and Dolls, Dutch Van Dyke in Too Good to say Goodbye. Thomas wants to be put in many more show throughout his high school life. Thomas would like to thank his family for being and supporting him through all these years.
Destinee Wright (Runner Up)
This is Destinee’s first year in theatre. She performed as Cassandra in the advanced theatre production “Too Good To Say Goodbye.” Destinee is a senior, after high school would like to pursue a career in acting. She would like to thank Ethan Roper for always pushing her to be better and believing she’s capable of anything.
Zoie Anderson (Band Member)
Zoie performed last year in Buddy Huckabee’s production of “Camp Omigosh” as Mary. Also in Jessup’s “Too Good To Say Goodbye” as Deputy James. Anderson also plays in Franklin High School’s symphonic band.
Alicia Jepsen (Friend 2)
Alicia is a junior in theatre three. She has been involved in theater since middle school. Last year she got the role respected general in the play Murder in the Knife Room, directed by Robert Jessup. After high school Alicia plans to go to college and get a degree doing something in the medical field.
Sydney Gibson (Friend 1)
Sydney has been in three high school productions directed by Buddy Huckabee and Robert Jessup. She really enjoys doing theater and hopes to continue her next two years of high school.

Anissa Holland (Susie Southwick)
Anissa is a senior in Theatre 4. She has now performed in six productions directed by Robert Jessup, where she starred as Urleen in Footloose, and Amanda Hawkins in Too Good to Say Goodbye. Anissa has also performed with the Overlook Theatre Company, starring in Annie, Annie Get Your Gun, Tarzan and Shrek the Musical, directed by Scotty Corbin. After high school, she plans to attend the Honors College at Western Carolina University to study Communication and Journalism. Anissa would like to thank her family and friends for taking the time to support her in all of her endeavors.
