This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing Creative
Adult Director
Ryan RouppRyan Ruopp is the director of many plays at Parker, including, most recently, Much Ado About Nothing, Trap!, 12 Angry Jurors, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He is very happy about taking a supporting role in this production, helping the directors to get the very best work out of this amazing group of young people. Ryan does not remember what the personable question prompt was, but he will tell you that any survival scenario would involve Coke Zero, which he is shamelessly addicted to.
Co-Director
Kerry LaRoseHi! I am senior and I am absolutely thrilled to be co-directing “This Girl.” I have been doing theater for as long as I can remember and I am planning to study it in college. I am currently playing Rapunzel in Alexander Children's Theater production of "Into the Woods." I am incredibly grateful that my final Parker show is with such lovely people! I would like to thank Ryan, the cast, and most of all, my fellow directors for the joy, laughter, epic games of Freeze, and putting up with my short attention span. Co-Director
Piper RakipI'm Piper, and I'm 17 and a junior. I'm one of the 3 lovely directors of This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing. I've been doing theater for 10 years but this my first time directing.
Co-Director
Heather FalkHi! I’m Heather, one of the three directors of this show! I’m 17 and a junior, and this is my first time directing (or really doing anything on this side of the table). I’ve been doing theater since I was 6ish and started doing Parker Theater as soon as I got here in 7th grade. I was originally inspired to do theater by my older brother, and I kept going because I’ve yet to find anything I love doing more.
Production Manager
Belle GallantHi my name is Belle Gallant and I am a senior here at Parker. I've been a part of theater for 4 years and this is my 3rd year being Production Manager for Parker Theater. I have always loved being on stage, so when I started theater, I liked being on stage, but after a few years, I realized that I like being behind the scenes more. I hope you all enjoy seeing the show, "This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl does Nothing."
Lighting Designer
Ella RichardsI am Ella Richards and I am a Junior at Parker! I have been involved in theater at Parker since I was in 8th grade through the tech side of things. I started by student directing a skit I wrote and being a backstage manager. My next, and subsequent years, have been spent doing lighting, and I am the lighting designer and board operator for this show! I was inspired to join theater by the spring-show-skit-writing-community-block I took and the community that is Parker theater. I am so glad I get to work with all the lovely actors and tech crew on these wonderful shows!
Stage Manager
Ella HanyalogluThis Girl is Ella's four-point-fifth show, and she's reliving her failed seventh grade, in-person-up-until-March-13th Spring Show as a Stage Manager instead of a vicarious sportscaster. Her previous shows, which have all been at Parker, include 12 Angry Jurors, a series of student-directed skits, Much Ado About Nothing, and now This Girl! She credits her love of being backstage ordering around Ella R. and Spaghetti to her mother, who ruthlessly but lovingly pushed her to try for acting in her seventh grade year. Her memorization skills are practically non-existent, so Stage Manager-ing is the job for her!
Set Builder
Romi CrescitelliHi, I’m Romi and I’m a 9th grader. I loved working on the set for the play at my old school. When I was in 7th grade here at parker, I knew immediately that I wanted to work on the spring play. But because of COVID I didn’t get the chance. I’m glad I finally can!
