Winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Next to Normal was also chosen as "one of the year's ten best shows" by critics around the country, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone and The New York Times.

Next to Normal depicts an individual and a family's journey with mental illness. Talk of treatment, struggles, and causes are prevalent throughout. Talk of suicide is heavily mentioned in this production. In addition, this production contains simulated drug use and mild adult language. DA Theatre does not recommend attendance for audience members younger than 13.
