Love Songs From the Heart with Maggie Thomas and Laura Barge Performers

Laura Warren Barge has been a professional musician for over 30 years. She traveled to Boston, MA to finish her degree at Berklee College of Music in the late 1980’s. While attending Berklee she fell in love with the more contemporary forms of music. Contemporary Country/Pop/Folk, Jazz Standards and Rhythm & Blues are her favorites, but she loves most forms of modern Americana music. After touring with various bands around the country like ‘Black and Blue’, ‘Cruzin’, ‘Legacy’, ‘After Hours’ and ‘X-Factor’ for over a decade, she now resides in North KC where she performs for different venues and privately teaches. Laura was nominated for Favorite KC Jazz Vocalist for 2021, 2022 and 2023 and won for Favorite KC Jazz Vocalist and Entertainer in 2024 through KC Jazz Ambassadors (JAM Magazine). In 2022 she was featured in an article for VoyageKC Magazine and in 2023 she was featured in Bold Journey Magazine.
