Disney's The Lion King JR. Cast

Bird (Katie Adams)
Katie Adams loves acting, singing, and the wonderful directors of the Lion King Jr. play. She loved being a part of the music theater cast because she loved the bonds that she made with everyone. Katie's dream is to have a leading role in a musical production. Katie would like to thank Lexi Alsop for being so much help to everyone and taking time out of her personal life to come up with dances.
Bird & Dance Captain (Lexi Alsop)
Lexi Alsop's favorite part of the show is all the dancing especially in "Shadowland" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Her favorite past role was getting to be Sharpay Evans in last year’s High School Musical. Lexi would like to thank her amazing theatre teachers Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. McAllister because they are always there for her in times when she struggles and always make her laugh on stage. She would also like to give a special shout out to Mrs. Howell the stage crew director because she has always been there for her in very hard times and this show would not be the same or be able to happen without her. Thank you!!
Hyena (Brooklyn Alvord)
Brooklyn Alvord has enjoyed learning about African cultures during the rehearsals; the languages are truly fascinating! She dreams of taking place in the musical, "Hercules", as a Muse. Brooklyn appreciates all the support she has received from her family, specifically her mom, who has given Brooklyn countless hours of vocal and dance training.
Young Nala (Aubrey Balls)
Aubrey Balls has loved working with all her friends in The Lion King; especially her Lionesses Clan. She also has the biggest fan at home; her four-year-old sister who knows all the songs and dances. Aubrey's dream role is to be Glinda from "Wicked" or Matilda from the musical "Matilda". I would like to thank my mom for helping me practice and recite lines.
Giraffe (Landon Black)
I really love being in the "Lion King" and have had a fun time in the show. My favorite part is The Finale because it has a lot of dancing, and it is fun to do. My dream role is Shrek in "Shrek the musical". And I would like to thank Mrs. Meadows because of how she helped with the dancing and making the animals movement look natural and everything.
Shenzi (Lexi Broadbent)
Lexi Broadbent loves the music, costumes, and energy that the "Lion King" has. She loves all the costumes, set pieces, actors and, of course, the directors. One of her favorite past roles was when she was Mama Bear in "Shrek Jr." She would like to thank her big sister Holly for all the help that she has given her for this musical and all the hugs and singing tips.
Baboon (Evan DeMordaunt)
Evan DeMordaunt really likes the music and the lyrics of the play. They really portray the mood of the scenes and the emotions that the characters are feeling, and he thinks this makes it special. His favorite role that he had was "Jimmy" from "Ten Ways to Survive the Zombie Apocalypse". He would like to thank his family for getting him into theatre in the first place.
Sarafina (Gwen Draney)
Gwen Draney's favorite song to perform in the show is "Shadowland". Her favorite past role was a lost boy named Slightly in "Peter Pan" at Snow Horse Elementary. Gwen would like to thank her directors for three amazing years of musicals. Thank you!
Ed (Jack Dunford)
Jack is super excited about this show and looks forward to rehearsal every day. His dream role is to play Jack in "Newsies: The Musical." He would like to thank his wonderful teachers for encouraging him to keep going on this wonderful journey.
Timon (Cache Earl)
Cache loves the scenes of the lion king. he also loves all the different dances. He hasn't done many plays, but his favorite past role is Grimsby from little mermaid. he has his dream role Timon. cache is grateful for my parents who are always into my plays and loves to watch.
Bird (Aubrey Graham)
Aubrey loves all the fun times with the cast and the wonderful dances and songs in "The Lion King Jr."! She loved playing Scuttle in "The Little Mermaid Jr. " because he is such and fun a goofy character. Aubrey would like to thank her cast member for working so hard and making her laugh, her two amazing directors for making this production astonishing, and lastly her parents for helping her with everything!
Lioness & Dance Captain (Lily Griffith)
Lily Griffith is grateful for all the friends she has been able to meet over this semester and an escape from other more stressful classes. Lily’s dream role would be Kathrine Plumber from the musical "Newsies" and if not her any of the newsie background dancers would be so fun as well. She would like to thank Lexi Alsop, the other dance captain, for helping her through so many hard times and coming up with some great choreography for the show.
Nala (Alissa Hall)
Alissa Hall is so excited to be a part of Lion King Jr. this year. One of her favorite songs is "Shadowland", because it is rare to find a solo that is mostly an alto part. Her favorite role she has played is "Dragon" in "Shrek: The Musical". Alissa is so thankful for her little siblings, Melody and Lacey, for helping her learn her lines.
Baboon (Sadie Hammond)
Sadie Hammond loves the energetic, fun times she and her fellow baboons have had together. Her fellow baboons have become great friends. She loved the dances she learned, and one day she hopes to play Glinda from "Wicked", and Olaf from "Frozen". She wants to thank Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. McAllister because they have given her great advice and helped her improve her acting.
Bird (Reese Harbertson)
Reese Harbertson absolutely loves this show and has been so happy ever since she saw her name on the cast list. Her favorite song is "He Lives in You" because of the choreography and the message it sends to everybody listening. Her dream role is to play a Schuyler sister in "Hamilton". She'd like to thank her directors who made this show the best it could be and made rehearsals so fun!
Lioness (Annie Hintze)
Annie's favorite part of the show is the African styled dancing in each number she performs in. Her dream role is to play Mercédès in "The Count of Monte Cristo." Annie would like to thank her sister Brooklyn for inspiring her to do plays and musical theatre since elementary school at Snow Horse
Zazu (Kyler Johnson)
Kyler Johnson loves the music for "Lion King", especially "He Lives in You". Some of his favorite past roles were being Winthrop in "Music Man and being Lord Farquaad in "Shrek Jr". He wants to thank his parents for getting him into theatre and helping him along with his musical career.
Bird (Molly Johnson)
Molly has been waiting for the chance to break into song and dance till she drops. Molly is exhilarated to be in "Just can't wait to be king" and excited for "Hakuna Matata". Molly's dream role is to be Lucy in "You're A Good Man Charlie brown". Molly couldn't have done any of this without the amazing teachers, Mrs. McAllister and Mrs. Meadows. Thank you for being such amazing teachers to me.
Lioness (Nixsen Jones)
Nixsen Jones loves the dancing and music in this show. She loved the challenge of learning to sing in a different language and has been practicing the dances nonstop at home! Her dream role is to be Glinda in the Broadway show "Wicked". She would like to thank the dance captains who made it super easy and fun to learn all the dances in the show!
Pumbaa (Macy Knapp)
Macy Knapp loves the lively, upbeat mood of "The Lion King", along with the cultural and meaningful aspects of this iconic story that she's loved since before she could talk. One of her favorite theatrical experiences was when she got to play the role of The Genie in the production of "Aladdin" at Centerpoint Theatre. She is forever grateful for all the sodas, sandwiches, and the endless amounts of love and support given to her by her amazing mother.
Zebra (Sadie Knight)
Sadie Knight's favorite part of the show is dancing and singing in "Just Can't Wait to be King." Sadie's dream role is to play an ensemble orphan girl in "Annie." Sadie would like to thank Laura from her theatre group for helping her feel comfortable and welcome to the world of theatre. She taught her so much more than she had ever known about theatre and is eternally grateful for her help.
Hyena (David Lasson)
Davis likes to sing "Be Prepared" because he used to be a Boy Scout. His favorite role was Charlie in Centerpoint Academy's production of "Willy Wonka." Davis would like to thank his cousin, Parker, for being his biggest fan.
Scar (Tyler Lawson)
Tyler loves the way every character in the show fears him. His dream role is definitely "Genie" in Aladdin. That would be awesome. Tyler would like to thank all the SUPER supportive people in the show and friends he made along the way.
Lioness (Elsha Mackay)
Elsha MacKay loves all the choreography in this entire show; she has always loved dancing and she says it is one of the best ways to show your emotions without having to say a single word. One of Elsha's favorite past roles was "Matilda Wormwood" in the musical "Matilda." She would like to thank her other director Jill Wilhelm because without her she wouldn't be as confident in her talent and would have never taken this class.
Zebra (Ian Mallory)
Ian Mallory aka Stanly the zebra has always wanted to be in a play and now he is. He loves the Just can't wait to be King, song and he love to sing and dance around a lot. I didn't know I would be a zebra because my sister helped me out, my dream role was to be in a play; I always wanted to do one and now I am here. Kyler aka Zazu is a good friend and can help me out when I'm stuck.
Gazelle (Kate McConkie)
Kate McConkie loves the music in this show and loves to sing it in her advanced choir! Her dream roll is to play "Scuttle" in "The Little Mermaid". It takes repetitive hard work to memorize the phrases in these songs, and there is no way she would have been able to memorize these without the support of her family. Thank you!
Hyena (Abby Mertlich)
Abby Mertlich is so excited to perform this production for you all; she has loved learning the choreography and the show. Abby's favorite part of the show is when she and the other hyenas get to dance in "Be Prepared". Her dream role is to play Elphaba in the play Wicked. Abby is so grateful for her directors, her friends and her family who have supported her in her acting.
Gazelle (Katelyn Miles)
Katelyn Miles's favorite part of the show is the "Circle of Life" and all the songs, she has been singing them from the first day she learned them. Her dream role would be to play Mrs. Pots from "Beauty and the Beast". She is so grateful for her directors and for all the help they have given her throughout learning the show
Giraffe (Brodrick Peay)
Brodrick Peay's favorite part of the show is singing in "He lives in you." His dream role is "Evan" in "Dear Evan Hansen." Brodrick is thankful for his fellow giraffe Landon, who reminds him when they're going on.
Lioness (Molly Pendleton)
Molly Pendleton loves the costumes, sets, and character personalities in Lion King Jr. One of my favorite roles was when she was the Cave of Wonders in "Aladdin Jr." Molly would like to thank Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. McAllister for being such great and supportive directors! She would like to thank all of you for coming to see our production of Lion King Jr!
Hyena (Joseph Peterson)
Joseph Peterson’s favorite part of the Lion King is dancing in "Be Prepared." His favorite past role was playing Protector of the Sea and a Peasant in the play "Once on this Island." Joseph would like to thank to thank his older brother, Michael, without whom he would have not started his theatrical adventure.
Hyena (Halle Prows)
Halle Prows is so excited to be back on the stage acting, dancing, and having fun! One of her favorite past roles was when she played Marta in HopeBox's production of "The Sound of Music." She would like to thank the directors for their hard work putting up with so many kids, and she would like to make a shout out to her fellow hyenas that she has laughed with so many times. She thanks you for coming and hopes you enjoy the show!
Lioness (Haven Putnam)
Haven Putnam really enjoys the movement of the play - she loves getting to act like a lioness! Her favorite part was when she played the Wardrobe in "Beauty and the Beast" at Ziegfield. She would like to thank the stage crew for all their hard work, and her fellow actors for their energy, but most importantly her directors! None of this would be possible without them.
Zebra (Hanna Robertson)
Hanna Robertson is so excited to be dancing as one of the Zebras in "Lion King Jr." She is so happy to have this opportunity to combine her love for music and people. She is ready to let her inner animal go wild! Her favorite role she played was one of the Storytellers in "Shrek Jr." at Center Point Theatre.
Banzai (Xander Rohwer)
Xander‘s favorite part of the show is when he gets to be taken down by Mufasa. Xander‘s Dream role is to be the genie in the Aladdin junior musical. Xander would like to thank his dad and mom for being supportive and helping him with his lines Also for helping him Always “be prepared” for his roles. he would like to thank the other hyenas for helping him to learn the be prepared dance. He would also like to thank his directors for believing me.
Mufasa (Alex Roylance)
Alex Roylance, probably one of the coolest guys ever, has loved being a part of the lion king and has loved all the new friends he's made during the lion king show. Alex loves his role and wants to put on a good performance next month!! He doesn't have a specific dream role, but he has always wanted to be a bad guy in a musical. Alex wants to thank last year’s cast and to help him realize that theatre is something that he loves and wants to keep doing.
Hyena (Jayda Smith)
Jayda Smith's favorite part of the show is getting to learn how to move around the stage in a different way as a hyena. Jayda's dream role is to play Belle in Beauty and the Beast in her separate theatre group. Jayda would like to thank Laura from her other theatre group at a theatre called Hopebox. She helped her to feel confident in myself, be open to others, and to not be shy.
Lioness (Hallie Stephenson)
Hallie Stephenson has really enjoyed the singing and dancing in this production. She thinks it is so cool that she has learned so much about different culture and language through the dancing and music. Her dream role would be to play, Dawn, from "The Waitress." She wants to thank her family for being patient with her and agreeing to listen to the music from "Lion King" so Hallie can practice.
Simba (Troy Stevens)
Troy Stevens is happy and excited to perform "Lion King" to his family and friends. He loves Lion King, but he has always dream of doing the part of "the Dentist in Little Shop of Horrors." He has loved the process of learning the show and would like to thank the directors for putting it all together. He would also like to thank the other actors in the show for their hard work and making this musical so fun.
Rafiki (RyLeigh Swain)
RyLeigh loves the music in this performance and how it displays much of the emotion throughout the show. Her current dream role is Jo in the play "Little Women." She would like to thank her peers for always encouraging her despite her doubts while working on the show. She would also like to thank her directors for leading her to find her character, and as a result, really connecting with Rafiki. And her final thanks are to her siblings who put up with her relentless singing and telling her to stop.
Lioness (Eliza Taylor)
Eliza Taylor's favorite part in the show is when nala is going to leave and "Shadow Land" just gives her chill's. Eliza's favorite roll is when she played Ursula in the "The Little Mermaid" because when I played her, I could just be so loud and confident on stage. Eliza wants to say Thank you to Mrs. Meadows and Mrs. McAllister and Stage crew because they work so hard to make this show the best that it can be.
Sarabi (Sarah Tholen)
Sarah Tholen's favorite part of the show is combining her love of dance and music into the "Lion King." Her dream role is "Milly" in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." Sarah is so thankful for her family who has supported her in performing in "Lion King" and for learning the songs with her.
Baboon (Micah Thornton)
Micah is super excited to be in "The Lion King". His favorite part is singing Hakuna Matata. His two favorite past roles were Les in "Newsies" and Winthrop in "Music Man". He would like to thank his fellow cast members for being cool people.
Young Simba (Todd Walker)
Todd Walker's favorite part of the show is singing and dancing to "I Just Can't Wait to Be King". His dream role is to play one of the "Sailors" in "South Pacific". Todd is grateful for Tyler for being a good friend so he wouldn't be bored for all of rehearsal. Todd is also grateful for Tyler for practicing lines with him so he could memorize lines faster.
Bird (Emily White)
Emily White loves the choreography in the show. "She loves dancing; she says it tells one of the best stories in the fine arts." One of Emily's dream roles are Hodel in "Fiddler on the Roof." The person she would like to thank is Lexi Alsop (dance captain) for helping her learn all the dances that she is in.
Baboon (Mallory Woods)
Mallory Woods' favorite part of the musical is the emotional intensity felt from the music. Her dream role is to play "Cosette" in "Les Misérables". Mallory would like to thank the other baboons for making the show fun. She really enjoyed monkeying around with the other baboons and considers them good friends.
Baboon (Eliza Young)
Eliza Young has loved working on this show. She loves all the costumes, music, choreography, and most of all the people. She has met so many great friends in this show and that everyone brings something different and amazing to the show. She says in her own words that "I love being the comic relief, and one of my favorite shows are Aladdin. So, my dream role would be the genie." Lastly, she would like to thank all her friends and family, Mille Leib especially for listening her blab on and on about the show. Hope you enjoy Lion King!
