Alice in Wonderland Cast

Amelia Morehead is a 7th grader at B-UMS. She plays french horn and cornet in the band. She loves playing soccer and lacrosse. She was also a member of B-UMS Theater Club and Improv Group. She appeared in their Spring production of All the Ways the World Will End, But Not You and also their fall production of Will You Be My Nemesis. You have previously seen her on stage on BCT’s stage as: Barry in The Single Man, a waitress in Death by Dessert, and Niko in The Wizard of Oz.

Maddy Earnest the freshman at BUHS. She's involved in choir, archery, educators rising, and theater. this is her first BCT show, and she is so excited for the new friends and opportunities this experience has given her.

Abigail C. Benjamin is excited to join the cast. She has previously appeared as Veruca Salt in "Willy Wonka", Ester Jane in "A Christmas Story" and Young Elsa in "Frozen". Abigail has performed in Junie B. Jones, Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz and Finding Nemo. Abigail loves to sew, draw and dance.

Harper has been acting and singing in productions half her life, starting with a small production at The Dance Factory and continuing with the BCT for the past three years. She loves to be around her theater family and feels at home on stage. No matter the part, she puts her all into it and is always sad when the experience is over. She has ventured to the wardrobe department of a show too and loves finding the right outfit for characters.

Ava Trent is excited to be playing the role of Duchess! Ava is 14 years old and in 9th grade at BUHS where she has been in 3 productions so far, including being the lead in their production of Dani Girl. She has been acting since she was 5 years old and has been in numerous plays with BCT as well as movie productions. While at BUMS, she both performed in and assistant directed their Theatre Club productions. Ava is in Sound Waves and was selected for WV All-State Choir in 2024 and 2025. She is also the 2024 WV Strawberry Festival Junior Royalty Queen. She is thrilled to see what the future holds!

Grady is delighted to be taking on a larger role this season in his third production with Buckhannon Community Theatre. He’s always up for trying new things and he loves being on stage. Outside of acting, he enjoys many other sports and activities including baseball, camping, boating, golf, flag football, and 4-H. He is a Lewis County native and student at St. Patrick’s School in Weston, WV. He attends Ireland United Methodist Church. Grady is grateful for his first on stage experience and he hopes to see you from the stage in future BCT productions!

Lily Morehead discovered a passion for theater in middle school theater club with varied roles like super heroes, end of the world scenarios, and surviving Shakespeare. In addition to theater, Lily enjoys Broadway shows, playing saxophone & violin, participating in lacrosse & soccer, and reading/writing. After portraying Imogene Herdman for the recent BCT production, she is excited to return to the stage for Alice in Wonderland.

Ava is 10 years old. She performed in The Wizard of Oz , A Christmas Story and came back to work with BCT again for Finding Nemo Kids and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She is an aspiring artist who enjoys making all sorts of art.

Jaron has been doing productions with the BCT for the past two years and the middle school productions this year. His favorite has been The Wizard of Oz and last year’s middle school spring show. He loves performing, whether it is singing, doing improve, or learning a particular part. He enjoys making people laugh and can’t wait for more opportunities to do just that!

Spencer Mearns is a Sixth Grade Student at BUMS. This will be his fifth production with Buckhannon Community Theatre, having made his debut as Wesselton in Frozen Jr., The Wizard of Oz., A Christmas Story, and as Bruce in "Finding Nemo Kids" When not on stage, Spencer enjoys soccer, video games, Halloween, and watching television dramas with his mother.

Genesis is 9 years old and in the 3rd grade at Buckhannon Academy Elementary. This is her fifth show with BCT. Previously, she was in The Wizard of Oz (Lullaby League Munchkin), Finding Nemo Kids (Pearl), Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka (Towns Child), and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (Gladys). Genesis loves being on stage and loves being a part of BCT. She has been in two movies with JCFilms Studios; Changed Forever and Call Me When You Can. She also takes ballet, jazz, and acrobatics classes at The Dance Factory. When not on stage she enjoys dancing, singing, math, science, trivia, being creative, and being with her friends/family. Genesis (sleepily) is thrilled to be the Dormouse in Alice in Wonderland.

Arthur Stott made his debut with BCT's The Wizard of Oz in 2023 as a Munchkin, Flying Monkey, and a Winkie. He also played Chip, the scientist in Buckhannon-Upshur Middle School's "All the Ways the World Will End, but Not You". He has helped backstage, with set design and in the sound booth for The Dance Factory's Nutcracker and 2024 dance showcase. He's excited to showcase his fun as tweedledee.

Samuel Stott started his theater journey as a Munchkin Town Father and Flying Monkey for BCT's The Wizard of Oz 2023 production. He loves singing and is looking forward to entertaining many with his song and dance as an Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka.

Bailey is thrilled to be part of this production! A proud thespian at Lewis County High School, she has appeared in *Mamma Mia!* and three one-act plays. She has also worked with Michelle Graham on the TALA Haunted House at the Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum. Bailey is excited to continue her journey in theatre and hopes you enjoy the show!

Jojo DiStefano is a third grader who loves bringing stories to life on stage! She has previously played Nemo in Finding Nemo Jr., a town kid in Willy Wonka, and the unforgettable Gladys in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. When she’s not acting, she’s busy creating art, making music, and probably dreaming up her next big adventure. She’s thrilled to be part of Alice in Wonderland and Buckhannon Community Theatre!

Kathleen is a 7th grader at Robert L. Bland Middle School in Weston. She is an accomplished musician, playing the flute in the school band and singing as a Soprano I. Kathleen was honored to attend the West Virginia All-State Choir in both 2024 and 2025. When she’s not performing, she enjoys creating art and spending time with animals. She is excited to bring the whimsical Mock Turtle to life in *Alice in Wonderland* and hopes you enjoy the show!

My role as Colonel Mustard in 2022 was a great reboot of why I have enjoyed BCT productions for three decades. I have been blessed to have a second family, my Theatre one. It, too, is held together with work, patience, compromise, and most of all. love. My performances are dedicated to both families. Thanks for keeping me young at heart. I'm always pleased & rewarded with being cast in any BCT show!

Shane Vassar is making his BCT return. He is a software engineer with CGI and a proud father of his son Chesley. He has been married for 27 years. He is originally from Mount Clare WV, and now calls Buckhannon home. He enjoys camping, video games and sci fi movies.

Alexis Huffman is a freshman at BUHS. She has been in many productions through Buckhannon Community Theatre. She has also done multiple shows through the Middle School theatre club, and the BUHS theatre department. Beyond the stage she is also involved in Cheerleading, SoundWaves, and was recently selected to be part of the All State Choir. She is very excited to indulge in this comedic show with you.

I am honored to have been part of BCT for the past 5 years, after moving to Buckhannon from Northern Virginia. I have performed in Dracula, Clue, and The Single Man, and as a makeup artist in Wizard of Oz, Finding Nemo Kids, and Willy Wonka. And now I have the privilege to be part of a BCT, I’m so grateful for the opportunity!

Kaitlin Lantz is a native Buckhannon resident. A newer member of BCT, Kaitlyn debuted as the Cook and The Police Cheif in Clue: On Stage, and returned as Jimmy Wyvette in Red Velvet Cake Wars she has been enjoying every second of this experience. She enjoys watching musicals and her favorites include, Rent, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hamilton, and Heathers.

Michal is 8 years old and was born for the stage. This is her fifth production with BCT. She was a Munchkin in the Wizard of Oz, a Jellyfish/Sea chorus in Finding Nemo Kids, a squirrel in Willy Wonka, and a baby angel in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. She enjoys using her imagination and is often found adventuring to many far away lands. She loves doing theatre, dance, cheer, sing, doing improv, and being silly. She is excited to be a Heart Child in Alice in Wonderland ♥️

Harvey Stott jumped on the bandwagon when the rest of the family decided to go out for BCT's The Wizard of Oz in 2023 (as a 5 year old). He learned a ton about singing and acting and... sitting in one spot for more than 5 minutes. ;) With his newfound curiosity, he decided to take a gymnastics class at the GymZone as well as Intro to Ballet and Tap at The Dance Factory and found he enjoyed performing, even if the weekly practice part was tiring. He took his role as a nut-checking squirrel in our Willy Wonka show very seriously. He can't wait to try on his new character!
