Barbara BarkanBarbara first directed Perfect Arrangement for BSP and is honored and delighted to be back directing The Revolutionists. A veteran in the Toledo Community Theatre scene Barbara has acted and directed for decades. She has served on the boards of the Toledo Rep, Village Players and the Toledo School for the Arts. She is a co founder and current board member of ACT , Actors Collaborative Toledo and the very proud mom of a talented, creative daughter, Thea Catherine/Justin Case. Barbara wants to thank the “badass” cast and crew of The Revolutionists. Vive la Revolution!
Some of her acting credits include roles in Marjorie Prime, Cemetery Club, Steel Magnolias, Love Letters, Auntie Mame, The Testament of Mary, Lillian, Occupant and dozens more.
She has directed for The Rep, Actors Collaborative Toledo (ACT),the Village Players and Black Swamp Players. Some of those plays include Dancing Lessons, F2 M, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, Sunshine Boys, Betrayal, Born Yesterday, Circle Mirror Transformation, The Heiress, School for Husbands, Inventing Van Gogh, Deathtrap, An Empty Plate at the Cafe La Grande Beauf, I Hate Hamlet and Perfect Arrangement.
Barbara has served on the Board of The Rep, the Village, Toledo School of the Arts (TSA)and is currently on the Board of ACT, as well as being a founding member.

Stage Manager
Heath A. DiehlHeath is thrilled to be part of the talented team of humans who are mounting this production of The Revolutionists. (Huge thanks to Barbara for wanting to work with him!) Heath has most recently stage managed for BSP’s productions of Murdering Medea and The Moors. He also has appeared on the BSP stage in such productions as The Language Archive (George), Perfect Arrangement (Jimmy), and I Ought to Be In Pictures (Herb). But he is most at home as a director; select directing credits include The Thin Place, For Peter Pan on Her 70th Birthday, Nora: A Doll’s House, and August: Osage County. Heath’s play, The Ordinary Instant, premiered earlier this year as part of the Toledo Voices program at Toledo Repertoire Theatre. Heath wants to thank his husband of 30 years, Gary, for his love and support.
