Anthony Haitz (Bugsy/Mugsy)
Anthony is excited to be working with Main St. 56 Theater again. His credits include Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992, 9 Circles, Tartuffe, The Last of the Dragons, The Drowsy Chaperone, 12 Angry Jurors, The Bear, The Thanksgiving Play, King John, Evita and Whirligig of Time. Anthony would like to thank Sophie for giving him this opportunity and his family for their constant love and support.
Deacon Smith (Frankie)
Deacon is incredibly honored and excited to be given the chance to work alongside all these cast members, who are not only incredibly talented, but are amazingly fun to work with. Roles Deacon has played include George (Schoolhouse Rock Live), Fred (A Christmas Carol), Lamar (Godspell), Dupree (Cry-Baby), Gangster 2 (The Drowsy Chaperone), Oliver Warbucks (Annie) Magaldi (Evita), and Albert Peterson (Bye Bye Birdie). Deacon is the 2024 Harvie Award winner for Outstanding Musical Solo Performance. Deacon also serves as a member of the Batavia Players Board of Directors. He would like to thank Batavia Players for continuing to allow him to be involved in their productions; his friends and family for all their support; and of course, everybody that came to be a part of this spectacular event. Stephen VanValkenburg (Chief William Werner)
Stephen is a native of Battle Creek, Michigan and now lives in Batavia. He has appeared in several productions with Batavia Players including The Rocky Horror Show, King Lear, The Thornton Wilder One Act Play Festival, Our Town, Back on the Boards Again: A Tribute to Sondheim, The Importance of Being Ernest, Evita and Almost Maine. He is so thankful to be sharing the stage again with so many talented friends. Past stage credits also include The Music Man, Annie, Oklahoma, Into the Woods and She Loves Me.
Skylar Dence (Nicky)
Skylar has always wanted to be in a full play, and is super excited to jump in as Nicky! Skylar is used to being on stage, however. He has been in multiple musicals, the most recent Evita, portraying the role of Peron. He would like to thank his family and friends for their constant support. Enjoy the show!
Mollie Wadhams (Louise Mason)
Mollie is ecstatic to be doing another show with Batavia Players. She had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the cast in Newsies and Evita, as well as the choreographer for The Little Mermaid Jr. Mollie attended SUNY Geneseo for Musical Theatre and Business, and was also a part of multiple theater and performing clubs. Some of her favorite performances outside of Batavia Players include Godspell (AHS), The Wedding Singer (Geneseo), Into The Woods (Geneseo), and When We Were Young and Unafraid (Geneseo). She hopes you all enjoy!
Cass Dzielski (Anna Marconi)
Cass is very excited to be a part of this exciting experience. Cass has appeared previously with Batavia Players in the cabarets - Opposites Attract and The Do Not Sing List, and just recently appeared as Mrs. McAfee in the show Bye Bye Birdie. They have previously been seen in showcase performances and plays at GCC and many other musicals around the Rochester area including the musical Rock of Ages (Justice), Heathers (Martha Dunstock), Spring Awakening (Anna) and many more. They have enjoyed their unique experience and would like to thank their friends and family for their support.
Sarah Efing (Rosie)
Sarah is excited to be in another production with Batavia Players! Previously, she has held roles in Bye Bye Birdie (Mrs. Merkle), Evita, Grease (Jan) and The Little Mermaid (Ursula), as well as supporting roles in Hello Dolly, The Boyfriend, Little Shop of Horrors, and Picasso at Lapin Agile. When not on stage, Sarah teaches SPED K-3rd grade at Leary Elementary in Henrietta, as well as at Genesee Country Village and Museum in Mumford. Lastly, she wants to thank her sister Emma and her moms Sue and Vera, as well as her theater family for their constant support.
Sarah Hill (Ruth Mason)
Sarah is excited to take on the role of Ruth in Murder at the Speakeasy. They are thrilled to be back on the Main St. 56 stage in this new murder mystery experience. Their recent credits include; Olivia in Whirligig of Time (BP), Soloist in Four the Record Cabaret (BP), Shirley Markowitz and assistant director of The Producers (LPP), Soloist in Ships in the Night Cabaret (SE) and Bad Romance Cabaret (LPP). You can also see them next as Jojo in Seussical with Lake Plains Players. They’d like to thank the cast, director and Main St 56 Theater for this opportunity. Lilah Mordell (Dorothy)
Lilah is a freshman at Oakfield- Alabama HS. Her past productions include Seussical The Musical (Ensemble), Mary Poppins (Bird Woman/Katie Nanna/Ensemble), Mean Girls (Shane Oman/Ensemble), Mr Icky (Charles Icky), Christmas Carole (Mary), Wizard of Oz (Featured Ensemble), King John (Messenger, French Herold), Evita (Ensemble) and, most recently, Bye Bye Birdie (Ursula Merkle).
Dorothy Gerhart (Ensemble)
Dorothy has appeared in many Batavia Players productions including: Our Town, I’m Herbert, August: Osage County, Hollywood Arms, King Lear, An Ideal Husband, The Women (recognized as Outstanding Featured Actress), Merry Wives of Windsor, Much Ado About Nothing, Merchant of Venice (recognized as Outstanding Featured Actress), Mary Stuart (recognized as Outstanding Supporting Actress and Performance of the Year), Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Hamlet, Love Labour’s Lost, Uncle Vanya, A Christmas Carol, 12 Angry Jurors, King John, Verbatim (recognized as Outstanding Supporting Actress) and Whirligig of Time. Film credits include: Macbeth, Murder Creek and The Last Dance. Dorothy also volunteers to run tech for several Batavia Players’ productions plus frequently heads up props for productions, and serves on the Batavia Player’s Board of Directors. She is a percussionist with the Corfu-Pembroke Community Band.
Seth Coburn (Ensemble)
Seth is currently taking classes at GCC. He recently appeared as the Mysterious Man in GCC's production of Into the Woods. Seth has also performed in several Batavia Players’ shows, including A Christmas Carol, Whispers in the Snow, Applause, Cats, Mamma Mia, On Broadway 9 & 10, and most recently, Bye Bye Birdie. Additionally, he has participated in summer camp productions such as The Best Little Theater in Town, The 100 Year Snooze, and Maggie Maguire and the Muzicle Mansion, as well as cabarets like The Do Not Sing List and Opposites Attract.
Rose Mosher (Ensemble)
Rose will be a junior at LeRoy Central in the fall. A talented and passionate actress, Rose finds joy in immersing herself in various activities, expressing her creativity through drawing, enjoying video games, and, of course, the thrill of acting. Theatre is one of her passions, and she has already showcased her talent taking on roles in productions like Cinderella and Mean Girls at Notre Dame High School, Chicago at Le Roy High School, and of course Cry Baby and Bye Bye Birdie with Batavia Players.
Lily Kasprzyk (Ensemble)
Lily is a high school student who is homeschooled and also takes online classes through GCC. She is excited to return to Main St. 56 Theater after performing in Christmas Carol, King John, and Evita. She has performed in other productions of The Wizard of Oz, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. Lily also enjoys percussion and gymnastics as well as painting and photography.
