The Crucible Cast

Angelina Brenya is a sophomore at Athens High School, you may have seen her before the previous year in the Apostrophes play as Debbie and Mrs Unger or as Amy in the Theory of Relativity. And if you have been to a certain special part of West Virginia you might have seen her acting in various Christmas plays. She enjoys making art and talking to animals or inanimate objects in her free time. Angelina would like to thank the cast, crew, and their director for all their hard work assembling this show and hopes you all enjoy it!

Harmony (She/Her) is so happy she joined the school drama club! This is her first show with the AHS drama club, and she is thrilled with her role as Ann Putnam. She's made new friends and has found a new enjoyment in helping people learn their lines. Harmony has found a new safe space and friends for life.

Jay Manley (They/She) is a junior and is very thrilled to be playing the role of Elizabeth Proctor in this production of The Crucible! Some previous roles they have played include, Lily Belle in, "The Curious Savage", Emcee in, "Apostrophes", Caroline in "The Theory of Relativity", and Allanna in “The Little Mermaid. Jay is currently in ABC Players “Madagascar: The Musical” as Gloria the Hippo! Jay is also a part of Stuart Opera House’s After School Music Program (AMP) as the lead singer in a band. They will also be the drummer for the All County Jazz Band! They would like to thank everyone for coming to the Athens High School Drama Club’s production of The Crucible! They hope you enjoy the show!

Awry (He/Him) is ecstatic to play Thomas Putnam in this fall production! He is a freshman and last year played the Jester In 'A Court of White Lilies' and Charles Haversham in 'The Play That Goes Wrong' in the middle school drama club. His hobbies are sculpting, Drawing, and generally Goofing About. Awry wants to thank his wonderful cast mates and stage crew for being so enthusiastic and hardworking. Enjoy!

Madi (she/her) is a sophomore and is very excited to be playing the role of Mary Warren! Last year, she played the roles of Fairy May in, "The Curious Savage", Bailey in, "Apostrophes", and Jenny in "The Theory of Relativity". In her free time, she plays the trumpet in the marching band and she also likes to sing! Madi wants to thank everyone in the cast and crew for all of the hard work they've done and for always being super supportive! Enjoy the show!

Harper (any pronouns) is a freshman and is currently playing the role of Willard. She started doing drama in 5th grade but sadly due to Covid, had to pick it back up in 8th grade. She has been in The Little Mermaid & The Play That Goes Wrong. She love taking French and she used to do archery before doing drama! Harper is really thankful to have gotten a part, and wishes to say thank you to all of the stage crew and other cast mates! She hopes you enjoy the play we’ve all worked so hard for!

Alia (she/they) is a freshman and is very excited to be playing the role of Rebecca Nurse! In previous years, she played the roles of Sandra in “The Play That Goes Wrong”, the Magic Mirror in “The Snow White Music Palooza”, Sayre in Rockin’ Robin Hood”, Bombalurina in “The Enchanted Bookshop Musical”. In her free time, they like to play the ukulele and read! Alia wants to thank everyone in the cast and crew for all of the hard work they've done and for always being super supportive! Enjoy the show!

Vanessa (she/her) is a senior who spends most of her time on Ohio University’s campus for College Credit Plus. She is very excited to play the role of Mercy in her first production at Athens Highschool. Her previous theatre experience has been at Stuart's Opera House with ABC players. This year she played the role of King Triton in the Little Mermaid and Katie in School of Rock. She also played the role of Gertrude in the play Break a Leg. In her free time, she plays guitar. Vanessa would like to thank everyone in the cast and crew for making this show possible!

Adria (she/her) is a freshman who is thrilled to be playing Susanna Walcott! In previous years she was in plays such as “The Play That Goes Wrong” and “The Ball of White Lilies” Her hobbies outside of school include reading and writing. She wants to thank everyone in the cast and crew for being so helpful and caring.

Leah Drogula (she/her) is a freshman at AHS and is very enthusiastic about theatre and the Drama Club! Last year she was Annie in "The Play that Goes Wrong" and the Historian in "The Ball of White Lilies". She also is a member of the choir and much looks forward to being a part of "The Crucible"!

Emerson Crowl (He/Him) is a Junior at Athens High School. He is involved in many different extracurriculars. He hopes you enjoy the play!

Special mention to Audrey Jolley who was casted and rehearsed as Sarah Good but couldn't be here for the show.
