This year we will be doing the Pirates of Pekin, written by our Co-Director Nona Buster who was a childrens librarian for many years! What to expect?? Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9-noon. Camp is open to Kiddos age 7-14. No experience necessary. Kiddos will receive daily snacks and drinks and a camp t-shirt. Our camper will learn all aspects of theatre while preparing for their performances at the end of camp! Kiddos will learn about auditioning, projection, character development, costumes, sets, marketing, movement, mind/body connection and so much more! We have also added a 3rd performance to accommodate more people!

Artistic Community Theatre
Artistic Community Theatre began 45 years ago in Bartonville at the Old State hospital as the Campus Players. They moved to Pekin and have had several homes. including the old Mall and the Pavilion. They even headed to Morton and joined forces for a show or two. Eventually we became a vagabond troupe. Performing anywhere we could (the union mission stage) Park district, Millers center, the Done, the library, churches, schools, and even restaurants. When the pandemic hit, we realized we probably would not really be able to exist in what was the current situation, so Nona and Jim Buster stepped up and purchased a building in downtown Pekin. They completely renovated it from top to bottom! Our Viking Ship was born! We have been open since 2022 and are just wrapping up our 3rd Season! We can't wait to start our 4th in September!
