OUR SEASON

Our first show of 2026 is The Seat Beside Her 3: Stories of the Revolution, just in time for our country’s 250th anniversary.  This show provides a unique perspective on the significant, yet often overlooked, contributions of women in shaping American history. The 75-minute costumed reading features a cast of eight, who recount tales of brave women working to secure America's freedom, despite the danger their clandestine efforts posed, for themselves and their families.

The production will run March 6th, 7th, and 8th, in the Garmany Performing Arts Center at McLean, 75 Great Pond Road in Simsbury, CT. Tickets will be available on the Simsbury Historical Society's 250th Celebration Committee website, https://simsbury250th.weebly.com. For more information, you can contact Betsy at [email protected].

Next up, is Weddings with Winnie, a sequel to Wine with Winnie. This romantic comedy will be presented at Lost Acres Vineyard on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Just like the first play in the series, the story centers on an amiable and well-meaning  talk show host, whose live taping goes sideways, fast! Come for the laughs, stay for the wine! Encore performances have just been added, running November 13th, 14th, and 15th.

And finally, we'll finish our season with Murder at 3 Corner Pond: A Colonial Tale, on October 22nd, 23rd, 24th, and 25th. This 14-character play was first presented in 2011, and again in 2012. We are thrilled to be invited back to Simsbury's historic Meeting House, a location that figures prominently in the story, which is based on a local legend, “The Witch of Simsbury.” Join us, for some spooky fun!
