DESCRIPTION
Seeking 10-12 non-union dancer/actors for production of ALICE IN WONDERLAND: ADVENTURES IN THE BEYHIVE, a collaborative one-act dance showcase set in the dream of Alice Kingston, a college student losing confidence in herself as a dancer.
Inspired by the dark whimsy of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland film, Alice falls asleep to her playlist and imagines a wonderland ruled by movement, the illogical, and a Beyonce-coded Queen of the Beys. Through her surreal adventures, she learns that passion never disappears — it just takes doing something a little "mad" to find it again.
Bring picture of yourself signed with name; headshot or recent selfie is fine. Theatre resume encouraged but not required. Please dress in clothes you can move in. Personal water bottle recommended.
After call is done, you may be asked to stay and read lines from show. Anyone interested in the role of ALICE or QUEEN BEY should prepare a cut of a pop song about one minute long in length. Beyonce songs or similar genre preferred. If you are not able to stick around or do not have a song prepared, you will be asked to submit virtually to [email protected] or come before call on a following audition date.
