This state and nationally recognized school is home to CougarCast, a troupe of extremely motivated high school cast and crew members who stage multiple musical and theatre productions as well as film productions each year. The group first came under the direction of Head Director Maria Aissa Guerra (Theatre Arts Director) and Xavier Garza (Tech Theatre Director) in the 2023-24 School Year. In just that one year, they garnered 16 wins: 12 Varsity UIL All Star Cast Awards, 1 Varsity UIL Tech Award, 2 Freshman All Star Cast Awards, and 1 Freshman Honorable Mention. 

As they work to further express their love of the arts during the 2024-25 school year, they offer their sincere appreciation for your patronage of ECISD Theatre and for your heartfelt support of Edinburg North High School students.
