Welcome to a New School Year of Possibilities!

Dear students, parents, and guardians,

As we embark on this exciting journey into a brand new school year, I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, our school community is a place of growth, discovery, and endless opportunities.

This year promises to be filled with moments of learning, friendship, and personal development. Together, we will explore new subjects, engage in thoughtful discussions, and work towards achieving our goals. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to providing you with a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity and empowers you to reach your full potential.

As we come together to learn, laugh, and overcome challenges, let us remember that every member of our community plays a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere. By showing kindness, respect, and support to one another, we can make this school year truly exceptional.

I invite you to explore our website, where you'll find important information, updates, and resources that will guide you through the year ahead. Keep an eye out for upcoming events, exciting projects, and opportunities for involvement.

Here's to a year of growth, achievement, and memorable experiences. Let's work hand in hand to make this school year the best one yet!

Mr. Willis

Concert Attire Information!

For the CCMS Choral Concerts, students are expected to wear the following attire. The purpose of this is to present a uniform and professional look. The director and administration reserve the right to decide what attire is considered acceptable for a performance.

The basic rule is white on top, black on bottom. All attire should be dress-code appropriate!

Please do not go out and buy something expensive! You can manage with a plain white t-shirt and black jeans. The look we are going for is a uniform look.

Top (Shirts)

Male-Presenting Students: White short- or long-sleeved shirt. No other color should appear! Please try to avoid shirts with logos. Shirts will need to be tucked in. I prefer a white button-down, collared shirt.

Female-Presenting Student: White short- or long-sleeved shirt. Your shoulders must be covered! The shirt cannot be a low-cut shirt, nor can it reveal any midriff. You may also layer (another shirt or sweater) to cover the shoulders, if you'd like, but remember that the top layer must be white as well. There should be no other colors on the shirt.

Bottom (Pants, Skirts, Socks, Shoes)

Male-Presenting Students: Black pants (or shorts), black socks, (primarily) black shoes. I prefer black pants with a black belt mainly because it looks professional.

Female-Presenting Students: Black dress pants are acceptable; if you choose to wear a skirt, the skirt must be of an appropriate length, including the slit. Shoes must be primarily black. I would suggest not wearing anything with a high heel.

Please do not wear [intentionally] torn clothing. However, if you do decide to wear something torn, you must have black leggings underneath. But please, don’t wear [intentionally] torn clothing.

More about Shoes

Over the years, I have become less and less concerned with footwear. While I prefer students to wear black shoes, I am more concerned with them being present on stage. If black shoes are not accessible, please make sure that you are wearing some type of shoe.

Hair and Accessories

Hair must be worn away from the face and styled in a manner that allows it to stay out of the face (pulled back, up in a bun, etc.) Hair accessories must be either white or black and must not be distracting.

Necklaces, bracelets, and rings are fine as long as they are not large and bulky.

Please wear deodorant. Please avoid perfume or cologne.

If you have any questions about whether something is concert-acceptable, please ask! You can also send a picture of the attire in question.
