Spring Musical

The annual musical is the centerpiece of our performing arts activities, involving a large percentage of students in the school who perform on-stage in the cast or in the orchestra; build, decorate, and run the set on the stage crew; provide technical elements for the show on lighting, sound, and video crews; and volunteer for front-of-house support such as ushering, concessions, ticket sales, and more.

For over 20 years, Bishop Canevin has participated in the Gene Kelly Awards, a celebration of excellence in high school musical theatre in Allegheny County.

Crusaders In Harmony

Formed in 2024, this energetic and dynamic vocal group performs a repertoire Christmas, school spirit, and general Broadway and contemporary music in multi-part harmony. Crusaders In Harmony are available for outside performances for civic and church group functions and school and athletic events where a special rendition of the Alma Mater or Star Spangled Banner are needed. The group also performs several dedicated concerts, including an annual Christmas Program and Spring Showcase.

BC Musical Theatre Camp

An exciting and memorable summer experience Students in grades 5 - 8 spend 5 half-days developing acting and improvisation skills and rehearsing a complete show to be performed on the last day of the camp! We strive to do unique musicals with lots of opportunity to shine for each and every student participating in the camp. Our past productions of The Claw (2022), Bots! (2023), and Imagine A Dragon (2024) were incredible successes!
