Stage Manager
Brandy Stevens
Brandy Stevens is thrilled for the opportunity to stage manage FIREFLIES. The script, cast, and production team have all been a dream to work with. She would like to thank her husband and four children for their unending love and support.
Set Designer
Scott Bergman
Scott is fired up to work with CAT again after the long pause. Scott has designed several shows for CAT including NOW THEN AGAIN, PRIVATE LIVES, and DOUBLE WIDE TEXAS. When not designing for the stage, you might catch Scott acting, or designing and staging Haunted Halloween Attractions.
Costume Designer
Sheila Russ
Sheila Russ has recently returned to Richmond after a year in East Tennessee and is excited to be back with her RVA theatre family! Previous CAT productions include: THE ART of MURDER, DIVINERS, THE WISHING WELL, UNEXPECTED TENDERNESS, PRIVATE LIVES, and NOW THEN AGAIN. Her work has also been seen at Richmond Triangle Players, 5th Wall Theatre, Firehouse Theatre, Henrico Theatre Company, and Lake Dillon Theatre Company (Lake Dillon, Colorado).
Lighting Designer
Chris Stepp
Chris is excited to brighten the stage once again as Light Designer for this production of FIREFLIES. Chris most recently helped shine a light on VINTAGE HITCHCOCK: A LIVE RADIO PLAY and has credits with numerous other productions with River City Community Players (SYLVIA; LOVE, LOSS, & WHAT I WORE; and THE GREAT KOOSHOG LAKE HOLLIS MCCAULEY FISHING DERBY to name a few). Chris would like to thank his family, friends, and loving fiancée for supporting him in all his endeavors.
Properties Master
Ellie Wilder (she/her; they/them)
Ellie is excited to be joining the crew of FIREFLIES for their first production with CAT in almost two years! Some of their recent credits include SHREK, A MISDUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM, EVERYBODY, SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS, and PETER AND THE STARCATCHER. Ellie has been freelancing as a props master in Richmond since 2017. They also currently work as the resident props master in Richmond at Cadence Theater. Special thanks to their partner Ian and their friends and family for their love and support.
Sound Designer
Buddy Bishop
Once upon a time, at the turn of the century, he was a mathematician, then famous vampire…well, he played such on CAT’s stage anyways. Then he built a few sets and then afterwards he was a sound designer for CAT for more years than he remembers. For FIREFLIES, a good portion of anything that’s not a live spoken “line” comes from his imagination and his computer.
Backstage Crew
Ashton Lee
Ashton is not a stranger to the HATTheatre stage. He is a student in the institution's adult class, taught by Vickie Scallion. His experience through class and showcases has taught him the skill of set design and blocking. Ashton thanks Ann Davis and CAT Theatre for the opportunity to work backstage for FIREFLIES.
Backstage Crew
Dinah Lee S. Mason
Dinah is excited to be working backstage again, after a many year absence from the theatre.
