A Rodgers & Hammerstein musical based on the memoir of Maria Augusta Trapp. Set in 1938 Austria, it follows Maria, a high-spirited postulant who becomes governess to seven children of a strict widowed Naval Captain, bringing music and joy back into their home before fleeing Nazi occupation.
