Yunalesca Alvarez (Mrs. Grant)
Yunalesca Alvarez is thrilled to be playing Mrs. Grant in BNI’s production of Teach Me How to Cry. In her freshman year, she played Alice in Matilda. During her sophomore year, she played Judy in Leaving Iowa and Clarissa in Little Women. She is so thankful to be cast in this production and is excited to be doing her first show in a black box theater! Besides theater, she likes playing piano and loves to collect vinyl, CDs, dolls, and play video games. She would like to thank everyone who believed in her and everyone who comes and sees Teach Me How to Cry. Please enjoy!
Jack Culver (Will Henderson)
Jack (sophomore) is enthusiastic to be a part of Bishop Noll’s production of “Teach Me How to Cry” as Will Henderson. This is Jack’s third show, as he was part of last year’s productions of “Leaving Iowa” as Don Browning and “Little Women” as the Knight. Jack is very excited to be acting in a blackbox theatre as it is a new opportunity for him and is proud to be able to experience this style of theatre. Last January, Jack had the privilege of being able to attend the International Thespian Society for acting. Outside of theatre Jack likes to record and edit videos with his friends as well as collect various forms of physical media (records, DVDs, etc.). Jack would like to thank everyone who has supported him and helped him through the process of putting on the show. He would also like to thank you for coming to see the show and hopes that you enjoy it!
Ava Dellano (Melinda Grant)
Ava, a junior, has been part of theatre for three years, beginning her freshman year. She recently appeared as Amy March in Bishop Noll’s production of Little Women. This year marks a big change as she steps into the role of a girl who hides her feelings behind silence and composure, the opposite of her usual style. Ava is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve and bringing lots of feeling to the stage. Outside of theatre, she enjoys writing, singing, dancing, and keeping up with her studies. She also loves spending time with her friends, where her natural expressiveness always makes life a little more exciting!
Francisca Flores (Anne)
Francisca Flores is a sophomore who is delighted to be playing Anne in BNI’s Fall play, Teach me How to Cry! This is her very first time being part of a play, and although new to acting, she is very excited to have been given the opportunity to be part of something big and meet new people. Outside of the theater, you might see her with the Bishop Noll Marching Band on flute or eating snacks. She enjoys shopping, watching horror movies and shows, playing with her bunny, and hanging out with friends! Francisca would like to thank her parents, grandparents, Miss. Wragg for giving her this astounding opportunity, and her friends who encouraged her to take this step. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
Giomara Fornes (Polly)
Giomara is very excited to be playing Polly in BNI’s production of Teach Me How to Cry. She was part of BNI’s production of Little Women the Musical last spring, when she was a freshman, and she had a lot of fun with her castmates. Some things you can find her doing outside of theatre are practicing guitar, singing, and napping. She is also on the BNI dance team. Her prior experience in theatre was when she was a little younger, getting coached and practicing monologues. She really wants to give a huge thank you to her director for giving her this opportunity, and she wants to thank her family and friends for always being by her side. We hope you like the show!
Arianna Hernandez (Mrs. Henderson)
Arianna is a junior who is thrilled to be playing Mrs. Henderson in BNI’s Fall Play, Teach Me How to Cry! Last season, you may have seen her as the Hotel Clerk in Leaving Iowa. Besides being on stage, Arianna has been a loyal member of the makeup crew since freshman year, helping out with The Play that Goes Wrong, Matilda, Leaving Iowa, and Little Women; as well as last year, writing and directing her own play, Table for One as a part of BNI’s Talent Showcase. Outside of drama club, you’ll probably find her drinking an energy drink or catching up on her favorite shows. She wants to thank her sister, Sinni, her other cast members to help create this amazing show, and Miss. Wragg for this amazing opportunity. She hopes everyone enjoys the show!
David Rios (Mr. Henderson)
David is super excited to play the role of Mr. Henderson in the play, Teach Me How to Cry. This is his first-ever on stage experience, and he wants to make the best of something new. You may have seen him on the football field in the past, but he is here now, ready to share his other talents with the school. He loves playing sports and playing video games for fun. David would like to thank his family and friends for all of their support during this new experience. We hope you enjoy the show!
Gabriela Santellano (Eleanor)
Gabriela Santellano is thrilled to be playing Eleanor in Teach Me How to Cry! As a freshman this is her first production at Bishop Noll, but she has also been in some community theater shows as well as musicals at her old school such as Beetlejuice Jr., Beauty and the Beast Jr., Finding Nemo Jr., and Bringing Down the House. Outside of theatre she is in marching band and enjoys playing tennis. She likes to go shopping, read, and hang out with her friends. Gabi thanks her parents, grandparents, and her friends for supporting her in all of her plays. She hopes you enjoy the show :)
Annica Thomas (Miss Robson)
Annica is joyous to be returning to the stage for her senior year, playing the role of Ms. Robson in Bishop Noll’s Theater production of Teach Me How to Cry. Previously, you may have seen her on stage for the 2023 Spring musical, Little Shop of Horrors as Rochelle, or as an Ensemble Rock, for the fall 2022 production, Eurydice. Outside of theater, you might see her fulfilling her duties as Captain of the cheer team at BNI, taking photos for the yearbook, or executing her responsibilities as the student council treasurer and social media manager. In her free time, Annica loves spending time with her family, listening to music or documentaries, and scrolling on TikTok. She would like to thank her mother, brother, and immediate family for always having her back. We thank you so much for coming and pray you enjoy the show!
Andres Torres-Cruz (Bruce)
Andres is grateful for the opportunity to play Bruce in Teach Me how to Cry, especially with such an amazing cast! After a small break at Hanover, he’s glad to be back and better than ever. He’s played many roles, such as Tommy in Matilda, Stage Crew in The Play that Goes Wrong, and the Ensemble in Little Shop of Horrors. In his free time, he likes to hang out with his friends and play video games. He’s more than happy to endow people with his performance, and hopes to put on a wonderful show!
