Auditions for cricket on the hearth
River Valley Players are casting for their Christmas production, "The Cricket on the Hearth," written by Charles Dickens and adapted for the stage by Bruce Bradley. This production will be directed by John Kremm and be performed at the Gard Theatre, Spring Green, on December 2 & 3 and 8, 9, &10.
The piece calls for 5 female and 4 male characters. Parts range from a female teenager to adult females (mid-20s - mid-50s) and males (mid-20s - 60ish.)
Open auditions will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 10; Monday, September 11; and Tuesday, September 12 in the Middle School band room in Spring Green. Those auditioning will read from the script. Both new and experienced actors are encouraged to audition.
Rehearsals will begin on Monday, September 25 and continue Monday-Thursday evenings until the production dates. There will be a Thanksgiving break.
